New Beginnings

My love affair with fabric started many years ago under the watchful eye of my Mother and Grandmother.  Then with the birth of my Grandson and encouragement of my neighbor my love of quilting was rekindled four years ago.  My neighbor (can I just tell you she is on of the most supportive and generous people you will ever meet) not only taught me all kinds of quilting tricks but afforded me the opportunity to learn to free motion quilt on her machine.

Here are a couple of her pieces.  Yes, that is a ribbon from our local Quilt Show!!

Then Jane and I went on to learn how to digitize patterns and seeing my growing enthusiasm my loving and extremely generous Hubby decided it was time for me to get my own machine.  So the day after Valentine's Big Red was delivered.  Oh yeah, when a man does the shopping you get a custom paint job, hydraulic table and all the bells and whistles.

How could you not love a guy that affords you this opportunity?

Here is a sampling of some of the quilts that I have made recently.

Christmas Quilt for my Grandson

No reason, just fun to piece :)

First and LAST paper piecing project!

Special Birthday gift for the man of my dreams.

Stay tuned as I travel this journey into computerized quilting and quilting for hire.  Yes the machine came with a business license, so I guess I am coming out of retirement.

If you are looking for a baby gift just pop on over to http://babyluxdesign.com and see what my talented daughter is up to these days.
